We are in the streets of Pushkar, Rajasthan, one of the most beautiful areas of India where I return again and again. I'm walking around town with my camera. The streets are still deserted, like imprints of a delicious mystery that I savor every second. It is seven o'clock, one of my favorite moments, wherever I am, to watch people and life regain its rights after the lull of the night. I ask myself a few moments in front of a magnificent house. A mother goes out with her child. His flamboyant outfit slices in the calm of this early morning. The magic is total. (Pushkar, India -2008).

We are in the middle of the bush, in the south of Ethiopia, in a camp of the hamer people. All the women are gathered in the shade under a straw roof. The men are sitting a little further. We are welcomed by a group of women in the most natural way. It's been a while since I watch a mother play with her son. She makes him jump on his lap, strokes his face, makes it pass into the hands of other women before taking jealously in his arms. Suddenly she leans over him and kisses her three times. Briefly. Firmly. Time has stopped. (Turmi,Ethiopia - 2011).

I have been in Barreirinhas, in the state of Maranhão, Brazil for several days. A delicious impression of the end of the world with people of extraordinary hospitality. I live with a lovely little family who helped me find a transport to explore in the legendary Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. I spend a lot of time with the family. The father, Isaias, speaks English well. He serves as an interpreter between me and the others. Lucila, the mother, is proud of her little Gabriel. She spends long hours chatting with her family and neighbors in front of the house. In the last few days, time has taken a different dimension for me. (Barreirinhas, Brazil - 2013).

Kyoto's Maruyama Park, a sublime and soothing place in this mythical city, where people like to stroll at any time of the day. A place conducive to meetings with the Japanese. Mother and daughter meet each other during an autumn afternoon. They have fun and have clearly spotted me taking pictures of the park. And of them, at the same time ... which makes them all the more laughing. I show them the clichés on the screen of my device, they are amazed. Exchange of email addresses for photo sharing: a process that has become habitual and so easy today in all these interactions with the people we meet on the roads of the world. (Kyoto, Japan - 2015),

We venture into the Gorges of Todra. The mountains sparkle with their orange tones, under a blue sky dotted with thick clouds carried by the wind. The place encourages contemplation, facing a nature so powerful. We marvel at the clouds moving at full speed above our heads, contrasting with the eternal and unchanging mountains. The hours pass and we do not meet anyone. Suddenly, a mother appears in the middle of nowhere. She carries her child on her back and walks a good pace through the rock gardens. She makes us great signs and illuminates us with her beautiful smile. (Tinghir, Morocco - 2003),

A look, a face. Time is suspended in the crowd facing the Damascus Gate in the Muslim Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem. Holy for Jews, Christians and Muslims, the Old City of Jerusalem is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in the world and a place where, even today, millennia of history live. By immersing oneself in this place, supposed to be linked to so many beliefs that unite and divide people, it is impossible not to let go of this or that emotion, rocked by the rhythm of the three monotheistic blocks that cross each other. graze, embrace or fix themselves on the corner of the eye. (Jerusalem, Israel - 2010),

I am in the corner of Sapa, Vietnam. I left before dawn this morning. It is cold and foggy. I leave the city and go down to the valley. There are a number of hamlets inhabited by Black Hmongs, one of the majority ethnic groups in the region. From 6 am, life starts, some moms leave town with their children on the back, others go to the fields. I meet them in the mist, their silhouettes appear on the horizon. The children are all amused to see me. Moms are beautiful with their large earrings and their traditional indigo colors. (Sapa, Vietnam -2001).
